About Me

My name is Colleen Wilson and I have spent the last twenty-seven years teaching across five continents and immersing myself in diverse cultures, which has shaped my passion for connecting students to the world in meaningful ways. Currently, I teach middle school English Language Arts and Social Science in Silicon Valley, where I help students see the bigger picture through interdisciplinary project-based learning. I am constantly looking for new ways to engage my students and bring real-world learning into the classroom.

Though my teaching has taken me around the globe - Uzbekistan, Hungary, South Africa, Venezuela, Ethiopia, Brazil - I have always had a passion for technology and innovation. Alongside my cat Zander, I am currently living the van life in California, chasing sunrises, sunsets, and new adventures. At the heart of everything I do is a deep belief that education is the foundation of success and happiness. Currently I am in the process of finding my next dream job internationally so I decided to document the journey. Thank you for joining me here, and I hope you enjoy the ride!
